Vance Center Welcomes New LFR Staff Attorney

Christina Jones joined the Vance Center in June 2025 as Staff Attorney for Lawyers for Reporters.

Christina Jones joined the Vance Center in June 2025 as Staff Attorney for Lawyers for Reporters. In this role, she provides pro bono legal support to local and mission-driven journalism organizations nationwide, advising on a broad range of media law issues, nonprofit governance and compliance, corporate law, and transactions.

Christina joined the Vance Center from Holland & Knight LLP, where she served as an associate in the Tax-Exempt Organizations group, advising clients across multiple sectors including healthcare organizations, educational institutions, and private wealth clients on matters such as formation, compliance, governance, and strategic planning. She began her career as a Senior Tax Associate at a Big Four accounting firm, specializing in international and transactional tax, and later practiced at a Washington, D.C.-based law firm, focusing on federal and international tax matters.

Before entering the legal and tax professions, Christina spent two years teaching kindergarten and second grade through Teach For America in Atlanta. She also served as a campaign coordinator and policy fellow with Leadership for Educational Equity, TFA’s sister organization. Her early work in education and advocacy continues to inform her client-centered approach and commitment to service.

Christina holds an LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center and a JD/MBA from Howard University. She earned her BA in Digital Broadcast Journalism and Communications from the University of Georgia.
