Audrey Tanenbaum joined the Vance Center in February 2024 as the third full-time attorney working for the Lawyers for Reporters program. She advises clients on a range of media and First Amendment law issues.
Before joining Lawyers for Reporters, Audrey worked in antitrust litigation at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and was a legal fellow at the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press, a Washington DC-based nonprofit, where she conducted prepublication review, drafted numerous amicus briefs, and staffed a legal hotline for journalists.
Audrey received her J.D. from the George Washington University School of Law. During law school, she interned at the Knight First Amendment Institute and the Reporters Committee. She is a graduate of Barnard College, where she received her BA cum laude in Political Science and French.
Audrey brings LFR’s full-time staff to three, alongside Staff Attorney Zach Press, who joined in June 2023, and Managing Attorney Kay Murray. Vance Center Staff Attorney Carla Pierini Borenstein and Executive Director Alexander Papachristou complete the Lawyers for Reporters legal team.
