Laur Kim has joined the Vance Center as Program Assistant for Lawyers for Reporters, adding to the Public Interest Reporting Program's recent staff expansion.
Laur Kim joined the Vance Center in September 2024 as Program Assistant for Lawyers for Reporters, supporting the initiative’s capacity to provide legal support to independent reporting organizations throughout the United States.
Most recently, Laur worked at UBS as an auditor trainee, where she focused on non-financial risks.
Laur holds a BS in Industrial and Labor Relations, and minors in Law & Society, Information Science, and Inequality Studies from Cornell University. She is bilingual in English and Korean and is a volunteer English conversation teacher for women and girls in Afghanistan.
