Vance Center Welcomes New Staff

Shaydah Ghom has joined the Vance Center as Engagement and Development Associate.

Shaydah Ghom joined the Vance Center in March 2024 as Engagement and Development Associate. In this role, she contributes to the organization’s capacity across multiple function areas, including through programmatic support, strategic communications, and development operations.  

Shaydah previously worked to advance program development at In-Sight Collaborative, where she provided research and policy insights on issues of forced displacement, human rights, and the humanitarian and development sectors. Shaydah’s work on these topics was used as material for the organization’s education modules, and she also supported implementation in a mentor capacity.  

She has also held roles with various international organizations, including Journalists for Human Rights, the International Organization for Migration, and the World Food Programme, Latin America and the Caribbean Regional Bureau. 

Shaydah has a Master of Global Affairs from the University of Toronto and a Master of Public Policy from Sciences Po Paris. She completed her BA in International Development Studies at McGill University. She is fluent in Spanish, proficient in French, and is continuing to expand her basic knowledge of Farsi.
