Vance Center Co-Sponsors International Environmental Law Committee Event

The Vance Center’s Environment Program has worked with the International Environmental Law Committee of the New York City Bar Association to organize an upcoming panel discussion reviewing international environmental law developments. The Environment Program concentrates its activities on human rights and the environment and the international climate crisis.

The upcoming event will feature as keynote speaker Professor David Boyd, United Nations Special Rapporteur on Human Rights and the Environment, an important Vance Center client.  Boyd recently presented to the UN General Assembly a report based on the Vance Center’s survey of legislation and jurisprudence from 193 UN member states, identifying the right to a healthy environment in many of these states.

The International Environmental Law Committee is pleased to host, with the Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice, the third annual International Environmental Law Year in Review panel presentation. The panel, comprised of distinguished speakers from academia, private practice and public interest organizations will discuss a range of hot topics in international environmental law.
